The Life Sciences Institute (LSI) represents a modern face of biological research, built upon individual creativity and insight but also dependent on highly collaborative interactions and multi-disciplinary approaches to create new knowledge.
Strategically, the LSI brings together researchers from 5 NUS faculties and supports the infrastructure central to the advancing edge of science. We focus programs upon Immunology, Neurobiology, Tissue Engineering and Human Variation and hosts the other researchers from the Singapore Centre on Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE). LSI supports interactions with sister institutes SINAPSE (the Singapore Institute of Neurotechnology) and CIRC (the Clinical Imaging Research Centre).
The creation of knowledge ultimately supports the creation of wealth and LSI is one of the key NUS contributors to basic scientific research in Singapore. Please take time to look at our research pages and we look forward, perhaps one day, to welcoming you as a collaborator or a beneficiary of our efforts.
