Drive Mapping

Easy access to your network directory

  • This is useful for users who have multiple user IDs and use them to access the storage

  • Each top level shared folder can be mapped to a drive letter on your computer i.e. drive Z can be pointing to \\datastore.lsi.nus.edu.sg\Data, drive Y can be pointing to \\labstore.lsi.nus.edu.sg\Data

  • Please connect to the relevant drive to access your data and disconnect it before accessing the other drive to avoid confusion

  • Open Windows Explorer

  • Click on "Computer"

  • Click on "Map network drive"

  • Enter either \\datastore.lsi.nus.edu.sg\Datae or \\labstore.lsi.nus.edu.sg\Data into the box and check "Connect using different credentials". Click "Finish" when done

  • Enter your credentials when prompted. NUS account users, please prepend "NUSSTF\" before your NUS user ID. Local storage user, please enter your local storage user ID

  • Drive will be mapped on Windows Explorer when done
